Moved? Report Your New Address (within 15 days)

When you move in Korea, you must report your new address within 15 days. Do it yourself for free — here's the easiest way and what to prepare.

How to report (easiest first)

🏛️ Community-center move-in report (easiest)

If you file a move-in report (전입신고) at the eup/myeon/dong community center for your new home, it is often processed as your address-change report too. It's free — bring your ARC and proof of residence.

💻 Hi Korea online

On the foreigner e-government site (Hi Korea), choose 'change of residence report' and apply. You need a joint certificate (공동인증서), and it's usually processed within 3 days (excluding weekends/holidays).

🏢 Immigration office visit

Visit the immigration office that covers your new address and report there. A visit reservation is usually required, so book on Hi Korea first.

Good to know

  • 📅 You must report within 15 days of moving in.
  • ⚠️ Missing the deadline may lead to penalties such as a fine. Check the exact rules and amounts with immigration or ☎1345.
  • 🏠 Report your address exactly (road name or lot number) so it matches your ARC. A mismatch can cause mail and paperwork problems.
  • 🆓 Doing it yourself is free. We don't report for you — we only explain how.
  • 🔁 You must report again each time you move.
